Is anyone aware of future plans to incorporate PTT into a bluetooth headset for Nextel's 7500 series anytime soon? Sure it's great to leave the BB in the backseat while you drive, but sometimes Direct Connect needs to be replied to also.
I would be surpised to see anyone come out with a BT headset with a DC button on it. Think of how much your ear would start to hurt from putting all that pressure on it. It would be nice though. And I agree that if a company did make one, it would be Moto.

Nextel Is Currently Debating On Bluetooth In Its Handsets Because Of Security Issues. The Government Sector (a Large Part Of Nextel's Clientel) Do Not Want Bluetooth Technology In The Handsets Due To Security Issues With Bluetooth (in Terms Of It Being Unsecure And Easily Hackable), As We Have Seen With Tmobile.
Currently You Have Bluetooth In The 7520 But Is Only Usable With The Phones Audio On Phone Calls, Not For Data Transfer, Etc. It Is Also A Pain In The *ss To Connect Certain Headsets After Pairing.
I just added this request to a Nextel survey sent to me today. It would not allow me to proceed to the next question until I gave them a suggestion for a product or service that no one else offered. PTT in a BT headset is the only thing I could think of. (Granted, I could have just typed anything in the box and it would have let me proceed).
Also - FWIW, I envisioned a button on the headset itself as well as an option to plug in a small cord that would hang down on your chest (or lap if driving?) with a button on the end for PTT functionality. Or maybe an extention cable from the BB itself for PTT. Either way it would be awkward.
