Helllo All,
I am a newbie in this field. I am trying to develop an application via which i would be able to view PDF, PPT etc on my device. I have gone through the BLACKBERRY ATTACHMENT SERVICE pdf already. Is there a way via which i can view the docs without using this service. What I am trying to say that is any API available for viewing docs ?

no there's no api for viewing custom filetypes - you'll have to write your own transcoder, although there are a couple of thirdparty apps that already do this, not sure about powerpoint though.

also i've heard that better attachment viewing will be available in release 4.3 of the os so make sure you do some research with rim if you're going to attempt some commercial operation to save yourself repeating what they're already doing.
