I've got a Blackberry 8820 with my work and I'm trying to setup the WiFi access according to our company policy.
We use WPA-Enterprise security and TKIP encryption. We require the connecting domain client (Windows) to have a local user certificate (requested from a CA) and a workstation certificate (again from the CA) thus enabling that user, tied to that client to access our WiFi.
I'm wondering if I can mimic this on the Blackberry. I've tried importing the user certificate and tried using the PEAP protocol but that just says EAP not supported. Plus it wouldn't authorise anyway as there is no client/device certificate, only a user.
I've no personal experience with this, other than some of the docs I've read from RIM that seem to imply that anything more advanced than WPA/WPA2 with a pre-shared key requires IT Policy on the BES to configure. Are you the BES admin? If so, you might look look for the WiFi provisioning document on RIM's website and see if it helps.
