Default new 8310 owner vodafone satnav question

Please Login to Remove!

HI all,

sorry if this is a very noob question but i have only just bought my 8310 today and its the first BB i have owned.

I am a UK vodafone customer with the free vodafone sat nav for twelve months. I also have the £7.50 mobile internet option.

I plan to cancel the mobile internet option because i have no (current) requirement for it. HOWEVER if I get rid of the internet option would that render my free sat nav as useless? i have tried to find info on the net about it but its very sparse...

Also when I fired up the sat nav it came up with an error message. I only worked when I put 'internet' in the APN field. Is this the free code for the satnav or just the code for the mobile internet option.

sorry for the noob questions but i think this is the best place to ask my daft questions

Thanks

Eoghan

You will need a BlackBerry Data Plan for the GPS to work and use a mapping/GPS application on your BB.
