i am having problems finding other bluetooth devices and other phones can't seem to find me even though my bluetooth is turned on. is my phone defective or am i doing something wrong? please help...

Is your device set to "discoverable?" Go to Options >Bluetooth >Options >Discoverable: yes

go into options > bluetooth > menu > options
is discoverable set to yes?
