I am new to BB devices so I am not sure if ther is a program for this. I have had my Bluetooth reciever (oncourse 2) for awhile now and was using it with the 8525 from AT&T. The only problem I have with it is that sometimes it has to be cold started to get it to aquire the sattlites. On my 8525 their was a program called GPSinfo that would allow my to do this. I have been unsuccessful in finding a simlar program for my 8100 pearl. Is there such a thing?

Most GPS receivers do take awhile to latch on to sat signals after being turned-on. It has nothing to do with the displaying device considering that your BT GPS Receiver and BT display device are properly paired. If you're going to use your GPS receiver from a complete powered down state, you should allow a minute or 2 for sat signals to be acquired and processed....

You can install google maps for blackberry for free to get driving directions from your current position (from your BB browser go to Google Maps and follow instructions for OTA installation), otherwise, you can subscribe to TeleNav or another service provider for voice guided navigation...

I have them properly paired however, For some reason this reciever will not aquire sat. after sitting powered off for awhile. That is why I ran the GPSinfo software because it allowed me to cold start the reciever. I already have GPS software installed on my BB, I just need to know if there is a similar Software for BB's.

What GPS Software do you have? maybe it has some setting to emulate GPSInfo . . .

Never seen such a program for the BB.
