Default yahoo,BB mail?

Please Login to Remove!

Okay I have Blackberry Curve. I have set up my Yahoo email. I have an icon with the Y that has my email addy next to it..lets say I get an email alert...the alert goes into my messages application not the email application. I would like it not to alert in the messages but in the Yahoo email application. I hope that is understandable.

Basically only the message shows the red start next to it is my message and not both my yahoo and message.

Wirelessly posted (8130 Curve)

Try this, goto your messages-BB menu key and select options-general options-scroll down to SMS and Email inboxes and choose separate. Hope this helps.

Does yahoo go work like BB's pushed emails? After I got Y!Go or a data plan (I'm not sure which) my BByahoo mail icon changed, but it was stil pushed email.

Yahoo Go is independent of your yahoo email setup in BIS.

There is an email alert setting in the Yahoo Go settings. I believe you would have to leave Yahoo Go running to get the use of it, but I don't remember how it works. Just enabled it and sent myself some test emails, but Yahoo Go hasn't done an auto-update yet.

ADDED: Test result. Yahoo Go triggers the vibrate when it updates and there is new mail and the alert is enabled/turned on in yahoo go settings. But, as I say, only when yahoo go is running.
