Default Intermittent loss of GPS data with Curve/i-blue 747

Please Login to Remove!

I have been using this puck with my AT&T curve for a few months. I am generally happy with the combo, except for the following:

-When using with Google Maps, google maps loses the GPS location and switches to cell-tower-based location. This occurs outside under clear blue sky. Google Maps is pretty much unusable because of this.

-When using Telenav, occasionally it appears the bluetooth connection between the puck and the Curve is lost. The blue light on the GPS stops flashing, and the mark next to the bluetooth icon on the Curve disappears. This occurs when no other BT device are near and when the Curve and the puck are just a foot apart. This has cause me to miss turns...

Thanks for any advice.

EDIT: Looks like it's the 4.2 OS...damn...

i have a similar issue with at&t 8300 and holux m1200 bt gps. however, my problem is with the phone keeping the bt connection alive and not the puck. the puck seems to lock and transmit the position continuously...however, my phone bt led indicator stops blinking after a few minutes...this happened with google maps, bb maps, gpsed...the little icon next to bluetooth indicator on my phone goes away as soon as the led indicator on top of the phone stops blinking. and i lose gps connection...i tried re pairing the bt device...and made it as a trusted connection...allowed the bt connection and location in each application's properties...i still have this problem...

any1 know wat i'm doin wrong? or tell me wat the settings shud b, so my phone automatically connects with my gps puck as soon as i turn the puck on and actually keeps the connection alive unless i exit out of a program that uses gps or turn off my puck or phone? thanks!

I don't know if this may address your issue or not:
