Find something else to gripe about people.

The Vista hating is just getting stale.
i hate vista for a variety of reason one is tcp/ip packet shaping. you cant turn it off.
2nd reason is vista just cluttered ui, dont get me wrong xp was bad, but the bloating in vista is 10x worst.
3rd is dx10 and dx10.1 and or wait dx11 they still cant figure out or make em work downwards tho ms claims dx11 will be downward compable unlike 10 or 10.1 less they changed it.
4th drm's bottom line what makes vista so bad. its a little secret that was added right before launch which caused all the headaches, pre drm version of vista it was 10x better, if tcp/ip packet shaping cant be controlled their is a problem.

but w/e you like enjoy it, it has major issues tho.

I agree with the Vista hating is a Techy FAD. A bandwagon.

I've had Vista since launch and have absolutely no issues with it. Everything works, the gadgets work, my development compiler works, my Adobe Suite works, my games work, my virtual college courses work, my drivers were updated... they work, and anything that ever gave me trouble was easily solved by a simple a"Run in compatibility mode" droplist.

It's incredibly stable, and seamless. I guess some people have bad luck. :/

If you enjoy beta-testing for Microshaft, have fun with it; I bought a comp for my ex with vista cuz it was cheap, tested vista and it sucked real bad so I formatted her drive and now she's using ubuntu. o/

Well she doesnt really use the terminal (not like you'd have to alot there) but gets along with it pretty well...appeals to her also cause its more customizeable than XP.
Don't think she cares about it half as much as I do though..

Basically a positive surprise for her as she was under the impression that its a geek-only OS.
Besides now that everything is set it should be good for a while, she never really maintained win so the performance kept decreasing where ubuntu kinda stays the same.

I'll be the token Mac person on this thread, although i know there are more around on here. I dual boot Vista for a few work apps but I havent found any major issues with it, none more than any other version of windows.
But Ill stick to OSX for almost everything i do, to me its so much easier.
