Default New Pearl need New Case please HELP!!

Please Login to Remove!

Hi I'm new all around, new here new to blackberry and new pearl. I am debating between the vaja balance or the rexregina balance cases. Which case is "better" any opinions wold be helpful as I can not decide. The rexregina seems that it will protect better whereas the vaja balance seems that it would be more functional. I do not want a belt clip. Thanks!!

Wirelessly posted

You will pay a high premium for a vaja leather case. They are nice though. If you aren't set on either of those I would suggest looking at a Seidio hard rubberized case. The case is thin and does an excellent job at protecting the phone. No belt clip, cutouts are excellent, very functional, slides in and out of pocket with ease. I have one for my 8310 and its the best case I've ever had. Apprx $30 from blackberryden.com < fast shipping and excellent service.

You might also want to look at Fortte. They are a forum sponsor, and probably have a discount coupon available somewhere. Here is a link:

Leather pda cases for your BlackBerry 8100 Pearl, Dual Design for BlackBerry 8100 Pearl, Flip Style for BlackBerry 8100 Pearl, Glove Fit for BlackBerry 8100 Pearl, Lateral Pouch for BlackBerry 8100 Pearl, Lateral Pouch SCx for BlackBerry 8100 Pearl,

I'd also say that I have a Vaja case for my 8830, and I like it alot.

I have the seidio case and my problem is that when i snap it in place there is pressure put on the mute/standby button and it actually puts the phone into standby mode and i can't get it out of it without taking the case off

I am also looking for a case for when I get my 8120. I like Fortte's Lateral case but I would like it with a 360 degree swivel clip. Not a fixed clip or belt clip.

Back with an update. Just got this case yesterday from Case Mate. Got it personalized with my name. The only problems with this case were that it doesn't fit the 8120 when I get it; and the screen protector only lasted a few hours before I trashed it.

http://www.case-mate.com/phones/blac...rry-pearl-case There are cases for the Curve, 8800, 8100 and 8700 models.

I'm still eyeballing the Fortte Lateral pouch case in navy blue but WITH the heavy duty ratchet clip or low profile ratchet clip. Then yank it off and stick the 360 degree swivel clip from one of my other cases on it.

Here's the Open Face Case from Fortte. I noticed it was left off the list in the earlier post Leather case for BlackBerry 8130, 8120
