Default BIS down on Verizon?

Please Login to Remove!

I have not been able to access the internet all day. I get a message that says "Unable to connect to the Internet, please try again later. If the problem persists please contact your service provider."

No emails have come through either.

I checked Services Status in 'Manage Connections' and it says 'status available' but 'not connected to BIS' .

I do not think I have manually disconnected by mistake.

Anyone have any ideas or thoughts?

Thanks...

I am not on Verizon but on Rogers in Canada. I can send email but am not able to receive any email on my BlackBerry all day. Tech support send service books but still doesn't help. Not sure why I am unable to receive any email.

OK, problem solved. For any other newbie out there like me here's what I did. got on line at verizon chat and the rep asked me to update my roaming capabilities (*228), power down and back on. And that's all it took to get my emails flowing and me back on the internet. Who knew it could be that simple.

Hope this helps someone else in the same situation.

Another fix for a lot of problems so you know in the future is to pull the battery while the BB is powered on... it's a hard reset...leave it off for a few seconds and for te most part your back...

There was more BB maintenance overnight Fri-Sat and Sat-Sun again this weekend. That may have factored in at some level.
