If you're loading to a TMo device you can leave as is. It will load the myfaves and the themes. In order to NOT have them loaded to the device you need to remove the .cod(s) from the java folder.
Generally, the reason for removing vendor ID's is to get themes to load where they otherwise won't. Sometimes an ATT user likes the TMo theme or another theme. That's why I state in my post to remove ALL the vendor ID's and then remove the .cod's from the java folder that they DON'T want.
Thanks John, I am loading to a TMO device. I will finish up my editing tonight and install. As always, appreciate the help!
If you have more than one email address configured to the BB,
Go to your Options > Advanced > Default Services. Make sure your correct email connected calendar is selected there.
This one is a memory hog. I woke up to 10MB free memory on my 8320. Rebooted it and back up to 16MB. That's just overnight since I rebooted it a time or two the evening before while I was messing with it.
[Edit] And while sending myself a voicemail to get rid of the voicemail waiting indicator icon that seems to appear after any reboot (even when there are no voicemails), my phone rebooted itself. Not looking good for 4.5.0.75/4.5.0.52 so far. :P
Yeah, I'm thinking of dropping back down to 4.2 tonight. This 4.5 version worked great yesterday with tons of IM'ing and emails, but today it just seems to be falling down in other areas.
I think tonight I will reload this OS back onto my device but not unlock all the other vendor themes. None of them really catch my fancy and they're just burning up space.

Typically I only keep the Tmo UK, TIM Italy and the TMO blue. I agree, the other one's (at least for me) are waste of space.

When I first got my BB I installed every single theme, and was pretty disappointed in most of them. I liked Tmobile's the most. But really I'm so boring as I get older that I'm using BB Dimension L with a custom background and never switch it.
I will use another theme for a while but I always seem to go back to the T-Mobile Zen theme after a while.
I wonder if I can set to other default themes that install normally to not install through some editing of the BlackBerry.alx file? This would free up even more memory.

If I had the BB Dimension L, I probably wouldn't switch much
For what its worth, just in case there are mac users out there wondering if they can upgrade. I successfully upgraded my 8320 on at&t via a macbook pro running windows xp on parallels. Took about 45 minutes. Works great, now if I can only get Blackberry Maps to work. Finally, both jivetalk, Google maps & yahoo go worked on 4.5
I seem to be missing something. I downloaded Desktop Manager 4.5. I downloaded the OS from Orange. I opened up desktop manager, connected my phone and nothing happens. How to I install this new OS? Im very confuesed because I installed the OS onto my computer. Whats am I not doing here?
