I updated to .96 and I don't have BB Maps. I looked for the shared files folder under research in motion and there was nothing. The only folder i found was Blackberry. How do I get the other files so I can edit the code and get back BB Maps. Also, where can I find the other themes?

soo i havent been on the boards much lately and i really havent updated my phone's OS lately. Currently running v4.2.0.71. How many things negitive or positive will i see due to upgrading? I'm sure upgrading would be worth my time?

I probally wouldnt upgrade but i'm sure there has been fixes over the past few months that i will like.

For some reason i have been having issues not being able to read all emails and not opening pics. talked to the t-mo rep and he said that i needed to reload. I guess i'm missing some applications that allow me to see some of these things?

/cliff notes upgrading from v4.2.0.71 to newest is worth it correct?

Anyone having problems using pearl as a Modem for laptop since upgrading to 4.2.1. I think my pearl is set up correctly. It worked fine until after I upgraded to the rogers. Now I got the new At&t OS and its still not working. It gives me error code 602, no dial tone. My wife's pearl still has the old at&t OS and if works fine. So I'm thinking it must be the upgrade.
I'm on BIS using tmobile.

Any Ideas?

Does .94 fix the "searching for network" bug? I haven't seen it yet, but it took a while on the last release to show up for me.

Happened to me recently. So I guess it's still there. The main screen was fine but the Mailbox screen was stuck in "Searching for Network" ...

Oh well, what can we do? Guess that bug isn't too high on the list for RIM.

Well, there is one bonus that I didn't notice in OS .73. I was playing around with the Pearl a bit today and I noticed that there is a DUN BT profile listed. It wasn't there, IIRC in the previous 4.2.0 OS. This is my first 4.2.1 upgrade and it's kind of nice that it's there now. Going to try and pair it with my Macbook tonight to see if I can use it as a modem. :p

The "Searching for Network" thing is a bit annoying but at least everything still works fine. Figured out that a quick theme switch clears up the stuck notification.

Has anyone installed this upgrade and NOT had problems with the letter-dialing in the phone application? Just curious, maybe we could try to find a pattern.

-different layout in the compose message bar on top of the screen when you compose a text or email

biggest thing tho is i used to have only 22mb when i would pull the battery now i have 30 after upgrading..all the same programs are installed as before

I had a flawless install.

Great update! Too many items to mention.

However, I get the 'searching for network' on my phone app, not mailbox. Go figure. I will do a battery pull. I expect it to clear up.

(SureType working great here!)

Yeah, that "searching for network" comes up whenever it feels like it. Sometimes it'll be in the phone app, sometimes in the mail app. I use the Dimension Today Plus theme. It's been doing that in all the 4.2.1 releases. You'd think they'd fix that already!

This has been a problem in all the 4.2.1 releases as well.
