maybe because no one knows the answer or everyone is using the pocketday or pocketday pro. I used this program for a bit I never saw that error. I since deleted and moved to pocketday since its a supported program and I do mean very quickly supported

You may want to check this thread to make sure that your APN settings are correct. That's what gave me the "tunnel" error.

Many thanks
I also get this. I'm a BES user with a 7250 on Verizon with v.4.0.0.204 of the blackberry software. I'm using BBToday 1.5. I can not disable MDS Proxy due to my firewall rules. Is this due to a setting that's missing from my BES?

Default BB Today working great

I have a 7100t 4.0.2.49 OS on BES, just installed this today. All works fine. Weather works fine with just entering a zip code. Custom stock symbols work fine as long as you just put one space between them and don't put the "^" symbol in. I'm not a big stocks guy so don't know just exactly what that ^ symbol means. I assume its for the averages like ^dji for dow jones. Anyway, thanks again to this forum for steering me in the right direction.

Default Clock Settings?

Ok...so I do have one question. Anyone know how to change the clock format from 12hr to 24hr? I have it set that way in my tools, date/time but it didn't transfer over that way into BBToday.

Default BBToday Clock code settings

For a change, try loading the following in BBToday in your clock preferences:
type this in exactly:

HH:mm EEEE, MMM. dd, yyyy

Maybe there are instructions for it out there but I couldn't find them. Just proud of myself for figuring this out.

HH=hour in 24hr format
hh=hour in 12hr format
mm=minutes
EEEE=Full Day of the week
E=abbreviated day of the week
MMM=abbreviated month
MMMM=Full month
dd=date
yy=year ie 04,05
yyyy=year ie 2004,2005
z=time zone (I think) ie "Americas/Los_Angeles"

If anyone can figure out more, post it here.

Specs: 7100t thru T-Mo w/unlimited data
OS 4
BBToday 1.4.7

Got same errors trying to retrieve weather that everyone else had. Succeeded by doing the following:
Under Settings/TCP added wap.voicestream.com w/o user or pw.
Under BBToday prefs for weather, left Disable MDS Proxy unchecked. I had trouble betting my ZIP to stick until I rebooted the 7100t. Then I was able to enter my ZIP and all worked fine.
this man speaks the truth

exact same situation, except BBToday 1.5

wouldn't work until i rebooted my BB. very interesting indeed, but i am a happy camper now

edit: i must ask, why display the time in the weather section if it is only updated every two hours, or at all for that matter?

wish i could remove the time

Default Using BBToday on CBW?

Is anyone successfully using the BBToday tool with a Cincinnati Bell 7290? I tried setting up the APNs using both of the Cingular settings, but to no avail. I'll try to call support later today, but since I have a 'company' unit, I am not always successful getting changes made to an account I don't pay for - depends on which support rep I get.

If you are using BBToday on a CBW 7290, please share your APN settings, username, and password.

Thanks.

Update: I spoke with CBW tech support:

APN: wap.gocbw.com
Username (if needed - I did): cbw
Password: (none needed or supplied)

Under BB Today preferences, I also had to disable the MDS proxy - can anyone explain what that is - and if so, will you?

Default BB today ver 1.5

I just downloaded BBTODAY also for my 7520, I tried it twice and it froze up after about a couple hours of use. I love the program, is there a way around this? Also, how do I change the colors to be brighter on the main screens.

Where can I find ver 1.5?

thanks

ANyone have screenshots of BBToday on a Cingular 7130c? It's the first app I will be installing once I get home and want to see what it looks like.

I installed BBToday on my 4.1.0.194 8700, and everything looks OK, but when I hit [enter] while highlighting an appointment, new messages module, etc. - probably any of them, the device seems to lock up, and I must perform a reboot of the device.

I do a num+cap+del and I get a big white screen - previously I got a message about 'message queue overflow' (and that returned me to the standard BB home screen). Not sure what's going on.

Any help?

-Edit-
Ok, if I don't hit 'enter' and just let the BB sit, the error recurs:
"Uncaught exception: Process BBToday(74) killed due to message queue overflow"

I guess I'll uninstall for now.

Go to Options, Advanced, Applications and remove it from the list.
