Definitely plugged directly into usb and not a hub. Have not tried a second PC. I will try that now.

I downloaded the install file, extracted it, and when I try to run it to install, a cmd window "opens" very briefly, then disappears. A shortcut appears on the desktop but the app is not installed. Tried a reboot. Nothing?

Help?

I am stumped. I am using JavaLoader to attempt to grab a cod off my BlackBerry.

I use the following:

C:\Program Files\JL_Cmder>javaloader -u save fileiwantsaved.cod
RIM Wireless Handheld Java Loader
Copyright 2001-2007 Research In Motion Limited
Connected
Saving fileiwantsaved.cod Done

But I can't find the file.

Any hints? Thanks

I would check the root drive and the drive that JL_Cmder is in.

Interesting. Mine does not save photos to the desktop.

@Troy, As Brian stated, try taking a picture and when the open/save dialog box appears, look at the from location and see what location it saves the pictures. Maybe it saved your cod file in the same location.

Just a guess

Ok, I found the issue. I should have said I am running Vista. If I run JavaLoader elevated as an administrator it works perfect.

Thanks for the tips.

Default Question about BB erasing

Ok I am going to look like a complete moron but I need step by step help. I have my friends BB 8700c with the JVM Error 102 on it. I read all kinds of threads on this issue but I can't put anything together on how to fix it. I downloaded the BB device manager v4.2.1.6 and it recongnizes that its plugged in. But now how do I completely erase the BB through my computer? Thanks for any help and any hand holding.

I forgot to take the battery out before doing a javaloader wipe...when I realized it was in...it was to late to screw with..I continued with the process...everything seems ok...what is the reason for removing the battery before wipe out?? I know this is just a trivial question now! I didn't ride the short bus for nothing baby!!!

Is there a updated version for Windows Vista 64-bits? I can't get it to install and need to wipe the OS off my 8130.

**EDIT**

I saw the comments above and tried the "run as admin" and still no dice.

There are no "other" versions of this. Much of this software is not compatible with Windows 64bit.

I have the same problem of using JL_cmder under Vista 64bit. I did a little bit research online and came across the software called CrackMem 2. It can do the samething as JL_cmder (wipe your bb) as well as installing a new os. I am right now letting it wipe my 8820 and will let u guys know the result.

*Update: CrackMem 2 works perfectly. Now I have my 4.5 OS installed and it's running flawlessly.

I just bought a blackberry 7130e online...and the jvm error 545 came on. How do I get rid of it?...Everyone talks about the javaloader.exe file but I cant find it anywhere to download. Can someone get me the file? and give me step by step instructions? That would be really awesome. Thanks

PS If there are other ways of doing it...can you plz let me know.

Did you download JL_Cmder from the first post of this thread? Did you read the first post of this thread? JL_Cmder uses javaloader.

Install it. Double click on the JL_Cmder file you downloaded and install it to your computer. It should add an icon to your desktop. connect the BB and double click on the JL_Cmder icon. Perform a "wipe" of the device. When it's done the BB should say 507 error.
