these themes would be so much better if you took the banner and made it transparent so that only the wallpaper shows up and not the banner on top of it.

If that is not requested then often it's not going to be made that way (banner free)
In addition to the specific requests often the image used needs to be adjusted in order to work on the screen. Images are sometimes hard to center just right on the berry screen to optimize the look for the user. Images that are cut off or distorted look worse that images with a banner at the top to hide areas of the images not suitable for the berry screen.

An example would be the two images posted. The first image has been changed to fit in the center of the screen and below the banner (looks good) The second image is the original image and would not set in the correct place on the screen. The first images has been changed and looks much better but not all images like that are easy to adjust. Many images have multiple colors and designs within the image and it's difficult to make it fit perfectly on the screen. What the banner does is mask those areas of the image that are very hard to adjust yet make the image as seen centered on the screen and in focus. Many themes have that banner in an attempt to center the image and to hide areas that are not able to be duplicate or adjust for best viewing.
This is certainly the case with the 87xx and 72xx themes. The 87xx banner is stuck in the middle of the screen an the background images needs to be brought down under those wings and banner in order to see the image clearly and make the theme look it best.
Look at Bears4 320x240 it has been adjusted and the images now rests below the wings on an 87xx. Look at the Bears-Test image. The player is now centered in the middle of the banner and wings on the 87xx.

Hope this makes sence?

Talking SRL your the bomb

I stand, or sit, in amazement. You create great themes quickly. If people want new icons, you give them Icons. Pictures of planes, no problem. School themes, army, air force, ladies, Sci Fi.....................
I think the community owes you thanks SRL I dont keep alot of themes on the 7130E at one time to keep the memory free, but the themes i keep going back to are made by SRL.

Try this, see if it helps? Otherwise no not at this time. I need to make them available ota but just have not done it yet. Sorry bout that.

Install using your desktop manager.

Here’s how:

1. Download the zip file to your PC:
2. Unzip the file to a folder (name the folder).
3. Connect your Blackberry to your computer.
4. Open up Desktop Manager –> Application Loader –> Add.
5. Find the file called “ThemeName.alx” and click “OK”.
6. Find the file called "Plazmic_Theme_reader.alx" and click "ok".

After the installation finishes, you can now change your themes by going to Options (wrench icon) –> Theme.

Notes:
Icons from any third party vendors will show as they normally do, without transparency.
If you have already installed themes using plazmic_theme_reader.alx file in the past no need to re-load that file over again. Additionally after installing themes keep the theme folder in the same place or the desktop manager will produce a message saying it can't find any additional applications to install in the future if you attempt to install additional themes.

Millennia is down that link goes to my site.

as for the error message? Keep your themes or apps in the same directory the Desktop manager looks to the same tree each time and if you place items to install in different directories or folders it will not recongize them and throw that messege to you. Re-boot your computer and re-start the desktop manager and then point to the new folder where the theme is and it should work fine.

I don't think that link i supplied will work but try it. My hosting company is not being cooperative with my needs and i'm trying to work out the ota installs with them. If they can't meet my needs then i'm moving to another who can. One way or another ota will happen soon.
