Stupid thing was, Lex... They said they wouldn't hold them for anyone, it's only a first come first serve basis, so if any store says they have them they won't sell them to you unless you come the day of the shipment :(

Just ordered mine over the phone.. . My 9700 should arrive Friday or Monday they said... PRAYING For Friday.. I need a light at the end of my tunnel after the week i've had.

Trust me!

But I wrote a blog post detailing the basic differences between the specs on the 9700 and the specs on my Current 9000. Yes, they're slight upgrades, it's not truly dramatic, but it should make for a much cleaner phone.

Trust me... I've been waiting for this for weeks to come out because most of Rim's other products just don't do it for me. This 9700 will be my 5th Blackberry.

Dan
Did you get your Tracking number yet? What time yesterday did you make the order via Phone?

Several stores in the Kitchener-Waterloo area have had them in stock since yesterday afternoon.

Rogers Head Office is now out of stock, so buying from a store is your best bet.

you were right, I realized when I set up the phone last night that the memory card was already inserted in the phone.

Those of you who have ordered: what did you pay to upgrade?
For existing rogers customers they wanted $500 + to upgrade the phone which is ridiculous. Apparently the $299 website listed price was only for new activation customers. I had to fight with them and finally ended up getting it for $299 + $35 non negotiable admin fee

The 9700 is no longer on Robber's site as an upgrade option...it was 3 days ago for a $399 upcharge (for me anyway). Asked a Rogers store clerk the other day about the Storm 2 and he had no idea either. The rest of the upgrade phones are relics from 3 years ago, a pretty pathetic stable of devices but that's no surprise coming from Rogers.

I got mine. Went to a Rogers' booth. Got it as an upgrade for $300 + 50 fee which I got a mail in coupon for. The reason why the upgrade is off is because the phones are out of stock until the 14th according to my service rep. I got the last one in my area at a store and they're sold out at the call centers.
