1. I hope they dont get rid of this feature, its become very useful
2. Yea, it stinks.
3. Does NOT exist on .296, .344, or .351
4. Extremely irritating, but like I said, the "workaround" of creating a completely new profile works perfectly for ALL applications.
I suppose I should also mention, that v.351 is MISSING the Thumbnail Row option, which is included on .405.
My previous post discussing this is here:

sms number instead of contact name
Hi everyone,
I don't visit here much, but when I need the forum I always get good help!
I just got my 9700 and I was having the same issue about the texts showing up with my contacts name instead of the number. I did find that if I went into the contact list and went to edit the contact in questions, I did find that their mobile number had dashes in it... once I took the dashes out, their name was showing in the thread of messages again.

No - reply to deebers comments that they got SMS "working" on 351 by removing formatting. It breaks - with or without formatting - in 371.

Ahhh. Ok. Yea, I wouldn't consider having to change over 400 contacts with multiple numbers to their format a "fix" LOL.

Not even a joke as a "workaround". At least they know how to fix it. Now, about all of the other issues....

Yea, there isn't much wrong, but what is wrong, is a huge pain!
RIM always pushes out a great product, so let's hope this is resolved soon.

If someone installs the leaked OS please post back ASAP. I've downloaded it but REALLY don't feel like going through all that hassle for nothing!

I sure hope that wasn't the "review" JSylvia007 was feverishly typing up!

Did the SMS numbers fix stay in? What about the message folder red badging issues? I have seen numerous tweets about the new BBM included in .415.

Ok... So, using this post as a starting point:
http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...ml#post1521807
Here's the current scoop on .415 of the OS.
1. SMS / MMS showing names is FIXED, but for alerts using the Contact Alert settings for messages, and not the profile's setting.
2. Still no setting for Thumbnails per Row in Multimedia App
3. Message List Option exists to filter what messages are shown in the main messages box - this is good.
4. No Lag when browsing for media in the Profiles screen
5. Red Alert Badges on folders work.
6. Profiles settings for the "Normal" profile are... SAVED after a reboot.... The suggestion that hopetindall has in the thread mentioned above definitely works regardless -- even after a reboot!
7. Boot time is pretty average. I didn't time it, but I'd guess it was around 1:30 - 2:00.
That means, that from .351 to .415 things have been FIXED and nothing has been broken.
I'd call .415 the current leader.
