Default BeamBerry and Docs to Go

Please Login to Remove!

Beamreader is a cheaper alternative, but PDF To Go pulls the text out and word wraps it so that the user doesn't have to scroll around on a magnified page to read text.

The rip-off is having to purchase the entire Docs to Go suite which I have absolutely no use for. I just like to read PDFs when I'm on the bus.

To put it in perspective, it's still cheaper than eOffice. To each their own, I suppose.

I've used Repligo's reader for a few months now and it works just fine. I can download to my media card, view, copy text. Fairly reasonable cost also.

Beamreader isn't out of beta so there's no price point yet, but I don't like it.

Repligo prices at 29.95

I see eoffice at 29.95

DataVis, in a monumental act of hubris, prices Documents to Go at 49.95 for a year or 69.99 for a non-expiring license.

I recognize you get what you pay for, but geesh.

eOffice used to be $99.95 for the whole suite and it didn't work that great. Docs To Go is far from what eOffice used to be. I haven't tried eOffice in a couple of years.

And as JC stated DTG has the best PDF reader. I have almost all of my work info on PDF, so I have tried all of them and this one is the best.

I agree that DTG has a superior PDF reader. It's unfortunate that its not a stand-alone product. The cost for the mandatory package is just not worth it for people that simply wish to read PDFs.

Yeah, would be nice if they offered it ala carte.

That's exactly why I went with RepliGo Reader - it offers the same features as PDF to Go (specifically "reading mode"), and more, and I don't need all the other stuff that comes with Docs to Go Premium.

Sweet. Looks like that's the way to go.
