Hello. Just wanted to share that I bought a Blackberry 7290 during the time I had Cingular, and when I switched to Tmobile, I began using the sidekick. Never really got used to the silly Sidekick so I tried taking my sim card out of my Sidekick and put it inside my 7290. I didn't have to "unlock" my Blackberry at all; my 7290 works fine on the Tmobile network and I wouldn't dare use anything else. Just by experimenting and not knowing it would really work, I discovered that the Blackberry can obviously be used on any GSM network. So, if you want to use the 7290 on Tmobile, buy it from a Cingular store and use it on your network! I love it!

omg, I called my corporate rep and he didn't even know what the MDA was? is there anywhere on the net, I can get some info..?

Newsflash: if you can use your 7290 on any GSM network, then it is unlocked.

Newer batches of the 7290 from Cingular stores are locked and will NOT work on the T-Mobile network.
