I use exchangemymail.com with my gmail account and it works flawlessly, the only problem i see for some is the 24.99 a month that this will cost. The long and short is they put you on THEIR BES and THEIR exchange server. The gmail address works much like a static address, check them out, works really well and you will full, real time sync with e-mail, calender, contacts etc...

Default Don't think so

I don't think Gmail support bi-directional sync.
I just did a experiment last week, the delete was made in gmail web and the same mail was in my BB even after 2 days of deletion

Exactly...if someone is a "power user" (whatever that means) and wants immediate and complete sync, particularly for a business situation, they should use a service like exchangemymail. Complaining about lack of perfect sync w/free Google accounts seems a bit much...

But I'll bet a bag of pucks that Gmail will have two way sync for email by 2009.

Yeah I just purchased a BB as my new employer doesnt support Windows Mobile (loved my MDA on Active Sync). I have been messing with this for a week now and i agree... this is garbage for anyone other then the person trying to email their girlfriend with dinner plans!

I'm guessing the best solution for NOW is to stick with POP... however I just noticed that if you archive with a label thru the browser the message will not move from the inbox in your BB... in addition if you delete the message from your BB it will delete the archived message!!!

UGH!! Man I miss my active sync!
