I'm scheduled Thursday Match 20th. I believe the first day anyone can take the beta is Wednesday the 19th if I recall the original announcement.

They don't appear to be publicly released. I would contact whoever contacted you from RIM Educational Services and ask them for anything they can provide.

I have a lot of drinking and b ball to watch on Friday as well, I'm sure it will not take the entire 4hours. I should have set the test for 8am then skipped a whole day of work!

OK... let's just say that if I passed, it would be a miracle. Unlike a number of you, my BES experience is a vanilla install and used only for email and calendaring. We do not do a lot of application pushes or extra configs, so my brain is hurting today. Those who are completely engrossed with the BES and have used it in every possible way would have no problem whatsoever with this test.
A good measuring stick to see what would likely be on the "real" cert exam. I have a lot of work to do

I have mine scheduled for tomorrow as well. I've managed to print out a few pages in one of the guides, but that's about all the studying I've done so far. I do know there's a lot of information on the test that you wouldn't necessarily use in a real world scenario with some exceptions from some people (like hdawg, who married the resource kit).

I am sure I saw some references to exams for BES with exchange at WES. Does anybody know if there is a similar thing for Domino as well?

Beta Exam
Hello everybody, I just had my beta exam. Some personal considerations:
- We had no study guide to prepare the exam and the experience is not so useful. You've to read very well the latest Admin Guide and the latest Upgrade guide
-Many of the questions are about situations that you won't use in your activity (you're right jibi!)
- A lot of question (maybe too many) are focused on Policy, security, acl and permissions.
I think that all people (like me) used to admin only one server and a few users (I currently manage 31 devices) could have more difficulties than people with many servers and a lot of devices (a complex environment I mean).
I think we're giving a good help to RIM, in the beta exam 174 questions are too much, I took less that 3 hours (also becasue I'm Italian and I need to translate every question ) but it was very stressfull at the end
Maybe, the real exam could be easier to do now..
I hope this can help

Now that I've had time to digest, some other things to think about :
Disaster Recovery was all over the place
Application push setup and management
BES Admin Utility capabilities and usage
BES Upgrade types
Resource Kit
You know, the more I type here, the more I ruin my chances to pass this thing and have to pay to get certified at WES. I think those who use my tips on the beta and pass should tip me at WES I'm sure I'm going to have to pay for it again LOL
Oh yeah, anyone else who takes the beta, tell me if you had any questions that asked for one or more answers and could only select the opposite. That was a tough one to answer.

Just finished taking the exam, I think I did pretty well, lets from what I can remember there were questions about:
Moving SQL db's from MSDE to remote SQL
Disaster Recovery scenarios -
How to restore if last good back up was 1 year old
Many questions about blocking, allowing application permissions to certain web addresses
Updating software configs
How IT policies are sent to handhelds - 5 steps
How E/A works - 5 steps
IT policy questions
Role Administration in Blackberry Manager
Many Resource Kit questions -
All I can remember are 3 log related questions, where to find info on calendaring in the BES Logs
Migrating from one BES 4.0 server to a new 4.1 server with least amt of downtime
Upgrading one server from 4.0 to 4.1 with least amt of downtime
Trouble Shooting Software configs - if device does not receive pushed app
What does the info mean in BB manager under Config Status, System Status, Application Status, Software Upgradeable
Port needed for LCS
That's all I can remember now, I'm sure I will think of more later .

I left a lot of comments for RIM on my exam. Hope they get them. There was one 'Choose Two' question that only gave you the option to select one (radio options rather than checkboxes).
I finished in a bit over 2 hours. I started to review them, but I had already fell asleep 3 times during the test, so I just said fuggit and left. LOL!
