Why were you trying to load it, and do you mean it busted your Pearl, as in it's bricked?

Have you recovered?

It was the extra themes. Not sure if it was the TMO 5 stuff or not. I unlocked the one theme I wanted and deleted the reference to the TMO 5 and the TMO Icons.

Any idea if you could extract the Dimension L theme from this and use it on an 8100 device with the 4.2.x OS?

NEVERMIND: Found someone already posted and is doing this.

I followed the above steps and have the exact same Desktop and OS versions but I still get the No Applications error. Any advice?

8120 = GSM
8130 = CDMA

So I doubt this will work on an 8120...

I believe I read that the OS is the same across carriers...someone who really knows needs to confirm, however.

He could always try. Worse case scenario is he reloads his OS.

For same model devices... yes..

But the 8300 OS doesn't work on the 8320 or vice versa... and they are both GSM devices...

and I don't think the 8800 OS works on the 8830....

Is there any chance that the new OS allows for a keyboard unlock without hitting so many keys? That is such a pain!

The only thing I see new is the Desktop software. The device software is still dated 11/13.

Verizon download page says it's for BIS users.

The version numbers of the new file are exactly the same as the original Verizon Pearl download posted on 11/13.

11/13: 8130EFS_PBr4.3.0_rel119_PL3.1.0.32_A4.3.0.60.exe
11/20: 8130EFS_PBr4.3.0_rel119_PL3.1.0.32_A4.3.0.60.exe

File sizes are also the same. Wonder what changed?
The file dated 11/20 is for the Desktop Manager. The file dated 11/13 is for the handset OS. The Desktop Manager software that this latest file replaces is version 4.2. It was weird that they had version 4.2 on the website for download, but the software that came on the CD in the box with the phone was version 4.3. So I think the current release just updates the software to agree with what came on the CD.
