In learning more about BBAlerts, I tried the Idle Alert today. Some of me older phones always used to blink when on, I kind of like that. However I noticed that when I turn the phone off and plug in the charger, if Idle Alert had been on, the green charge light does not light. I can't tell the phone is charging. So if you want to charge the phone when off, I guess you have to disable Idle Alert to see the charging light?

Can't say I know. While I do turn the phone off at night (auto-off), I usually don't charge it overnight either while it's off.

If you really want to be sure it's charging, yet not be disturbed at night with calls, emails, etc., you could use the Off profile instead of powering down perhaps.

(BTW, no insult intended on these instruction steps).

If the BB Alerts line entry is not listed, perhaps a reinstall is needed although I can't imagine why it would not be there since you have the app installed and working for the most part.
No, BB Alerts line is not in my BB profile. It starts with Browser, Calendar, etc.... Yes, it works fine for me. I'm wondering is it that because we have different models (mine 8310) or unless I have to have something turned on in the BBAlerts program from it to show up on my BB (profiles).
