In the Jivetalk Auto-config the TCP gives an error always (including after wiping and since v.147). In my opinion Jivetalk 1.1 is not ready to work with Bold's wifi.

every build prior to .150 seems to work for me.

If you don't delete this folder you will get quincy installed on your device which is software that speaks to RIM about errors, etc. The folder is in the same area that the vendor file is.
i can't find the "RIM tools folder" but a folder called "RIMInternalTools-4.6.0.156."
And this folder is't in the same area that vender file is.
Is this the right folder to delete?

That's not the name! The correct name is:

"RIM tools folder. If you don't delete this folder you will get quincy installed on"

Good luck!

I can't remember the exact name of the folder cause I've deleted it but it's located in C drive, program files, common files, research in motion folder. To get to the vendor file you just need to go one step further, big deal. How precise you need me to make these instructions? Geez.

People in general are stupid, remember that. These are the same people who ask "Can I install 4.6.0.XXX on my Curve/Pearl?"

Have you reset your TCP settings after wiping or reloading OS? Mine got wiped out and had to reset them in Options -> Advanced -> TCP.

When I run auto config network in jivetalk all three services (BIS, BES, TCP) come up ok, but jivetalk will still not switch to wifi.

Or it could be the fact that people have paid a lot of money for their Bold and want to make sure they don't screw it up. I'm sure this is still a learning process for some users when it comes to application loader and upgrading os. We were all there at some point. No need to be a dick about it, IMO.

If you paid a lot of money for your Bold and dont want to screw it up, why even risk it by installing an unreleased beta OS?

The more you pay for something, the more you expect it to work correctly, no?

I just installed .156

Nothing special or improved but just an addition of Quincy.
