I'd stick with the 2400 mAh. Can't beat having that extra power. Just my preference.

I think that the Pearl can only use the yellow ones, not the blue ones.

No, the blue one works, but the battery cover will not fit back on.

ha. i did a field test for this thing. purposely left my charger at my house while i am at my girl's for the weekend. So far, so good, about half full with heavy usage. I ended up going sans-battery door (my silver button fell off anyways) and stretched out the silicone case i have. So yea, i'm def. keepin this.

Does anyone know if there is going to be a rubberized case for these 2 new batteries? I seem to have asked multiple times and in different threads to no avail.

I imaging it'll depend on how many they sell whether they'll tool up and make cases or not. They'll probably only have to tool for the back half, and make a smooth hole in it for the speaker grid. Maybe they'll just sell half the case for those of us that have the old one!

Seidio understands the needs and we are doing the evaluation. No decision is made yet. Will keep you informed once the decision is made.

Thanks for the info...we fixed the typo.

We haven't made a decision yet, but we will certainly let you know as soon as we do. Unfortunately that's all the information that I have right now.
Thanks

Will the 1250 battery work with the aluminum case from you guys? I have the case and I like it, but I would like the extended battery life. Any ideas on if it will fit?

What you should do is cut out a 1mm thick piece of something and put it over the back and see if it fits in the case OK.

I think part of the "delay," if one wants to call it that, is that Seidio has to determine what the majority of people want and to go with such; no need making a case that few people will buy.
To illustrate the dilemma, I opined last month that if Seidio makes a case for use with extended batteries, that the back should have a cutout for the battery cover to stick out, otherwise the phone will be too big. I can see others who might want a complete case and yet others who will say a full case destroys the Pearl's small form factor.
I did a mod of a cheap case to see how it would function with the cutout for the battery cover. See below.
Since I will never go back to using the standard OEM battery, I am now going to hack up my $40 rubberized case [also a Seidio product]. I will be way more careful when taking cutting tools to it.

Just noticed this while drooling over the 1250MAH SLIM EXTENDED BATTERY FOR 8100. If you look at the bottom of the page were it says Recommended accessories: it says crystal case. Now one could reason that the cases that we all love and cherish (cystal case) will fit the pearl, if the super slim crystal is advertised as an accessory. That is unless thats a mistake???

That would be the logical assumption. That's what I'm thinking at least. I just thought I'd throw the aluminum case question out there because the site doesn't say anything about that case being an accessory.

^I know what you mean, id like to have confirmation as well. Look at it this way you can always return it if it doesn't fit due to the fact that it was mis advertised. However like i posted earlier i slid something in 1MM thick between the case an phone and it fit. Ill post my findings once it arrives. I need the extra juice, an the deal is to good to past. Time to take the plunge!
