Again -- the 8800 and 8300 aren't intended for the same market. There's no reason for them to not have close launch dates. Corporate users and camera-phone skeptics will still buy the 8800.

Ok, "a lot of us" only mounts to maybe a percent or less of the current 8800 owners. The fact of the matter is, only phone addicts and "enthusaists" will drop dough like that on the latest and greatest. The 8300 isn't meant to sway the 8800 market but for people who either have older models or non BB users. I've only seen one person with an 8800 and I live in NYC and work in a major investment bank where BBs are like a third hand to most employees and they're still using 87xx and older models.

Even if the majority of the members on this forum who are 8800 owners thats willing to dump it and buy the 8300 either full price or upgrade, thats only how many percent or even percentage of 1 percent of all the 8800 owners out there.

Well said!

Unfortunately (for me) I'm one of "those addicts" and worse, as I'm cross-addicted to both phones and laptops......
Oh well, as my wife says "At least its not another woman".

Cheers........

Ladies and Gentlemen. All YOU need is patience.

I've waited......and waited, and waited some more. I've begun my patience back when the waiting peroid for the 8100 was first announced. Then I waited some more till the 8800 came out. I'm waiting and waiting....and waiting some more. Now, while being patient, I've thought it over and the release of the 8300 is driving me CRAZY! I just want it NOW! If I don't have that 8300 soon, I don't know what I'm going to do....maybe buy the 8700g.
