We put out a patch build at the same location. A re-download should suffice. Most of the problems we had with the build is permission related, so make sure you grant Allow permission to the application under the applications list.

I'm seeing some pretty flaky behaviour in 1.0.3. "Sometimes" (I know, bad word in software, but I can't find the pattern to repeat the problem) when I sign in to all accounts, my status goes from available, to offline, to available when my contact list finally populates. When it does, my offline contacts are not present. Then when I go to sign out, it sits on the 'sign-out' screen until it times out.

However, I'm not sure this behaviour was not present in 1.0.2. I have only been using the app for about 2 weeks, and have been a pretty light user. I can say that I never saw these problems in 1.0.2, but that's not to say they weren't there.

EDIT: I tried to download 1.0.2 and try to repeat these problems, but it appears as they have re-directed the link posted to get to 1.0.2 back to their main page.

MySpace IM does not work for me. Every time I try to log in I just get a password error. Same thing happens to me in Adium on my Mac. Is there a different username other than my email address that I should be using?

Edit: Found the solution I think. My password is 11 characters long and I had to reduce the password I entered to the first 10 characters. Once I did that it worked fine. And of course I used my email address as the login.

I've got the 8130 with Verizon and installed JiveTalk today. Works fine, except there are a couple of bugs with the program. When you try to edit an IM account, it doesn't allow you to change either the username or the password. Also, if you try to delete an account that has been set up, it locks up the handset. I contacted JiveTalk support and they acknowledged that this was a known issue. They suggested that I uninstall and then reinstall the program.

I believe this 1.0.3 is still in public beta. 1.0.2 should still be available for download.

This whole thing has me crazy...I still can't get it to work, even with the new patchbuild. Worked for my wife's pearl on gsm and my verizon 8830 but still can't get it to work on my unlocked 8320. John and I exchanged pm's trying to fix but nothing...all permissions are enabled but still nothing. Today I installed IM and it is working fine over tcp, when I installed IM it gave me the option of allowing permissions but when I install jivetalk it doesn't...wondering if it did not uninstall correctly from my 8320 even if I reset if afterwards???

guess 1.0.3 not for me
I downgraded and it still give me the IT / Firewall error... What the heck?!?!

I like Jivetalk more than IM+. It works much better! But the only thing I can't get to work is the IM notification. You know when you get an e-mail, it shows up on your BB start page? Or a GTALK message, or a BB Messenger message, to notify you that you have open the app or check your mail messages to read it, well I'm on a BB 8300 and I'm not seeing that! Is that a known problem? Or is there a setting that I over looked?

Thanks in advance

It's already enabled. But it doesn't help if your phone locks it's keyboard and goes to it's locked screen.

Is there a way to make Jive load and log into a specific account each time the BB is restarted?

RIM doesn't provide the API's for access to the ribbon bar at the top of the screen. You have two options with JiveTalk for this. You will get a star on the JiveTalk icon. Additionally you can enable the popup message for JiveTalk. This will give you a popup window each time a message is received. Personally, I found this to be annoying so I disabled it. I put JiveTalk in my first 5 icons so that I see the icon on the home screen so I can see the star on the icon.

That would be nice...I always forget to log back in when I restart the device.

I do believe I heard a while back that jivetalk is working on adding that feature - auto login after restart

Thanks...they really need that to make the program "dependable" for folks like me who forget to restart Jive after a restart.
