Man, I have searched everywhere to no avail. It seems that everything I find takes me back to the same US Cellular site with the 4.3 version. I hope they put it up again soon.

I'm having the same problem. Every link out there for US Cellular takes me right to 4.3. I'm wondering if there were problems with the OS on their network?

Nobody knows. Another carrier, MTS Mobility, did the same thing. Not sure what's going on.

Do they give anyone a heads up that they are going to put it up, or you just have to be lucky enough to get it when it is there?

Usually when a carrier puts it on their website, it's there for good. This is the second time in recent weeks that the OS have been put on the websites only to be pulled a week or so later.

Maybe they found a serious security hole opened up in 4.5 and are working to patch it, or maybe they weren't ready for the additional load that HTML mail entails, or ?
It is very odd indeed.

For any of you folks running the new .66, have you noticed any issues with it that may make the carrier want to pull the release?

Nope...it's seemed fine so far, but then, some problems might not be obvious to users.

Thx Redflea...I'm wondering if I am going too crazy about trying to upgrade to .66......I am running .56 currently, not sure if it is worth me getting so crazy about?

Hey guys...I was able to get my hands on the .66 software. I have it installed and working fine.....However, does anyone know what the "Trooper Typing" is and how I can get rid of it? It seems like it is some game for learning how to use SureType.......
Thx

Verizon sticks it on for some reason. I just hide the icon. I haven't looked for the offending COD that contains it yet...Verizon is the culprit, I believe they added it.

I haven't seen any significant difference between the two, other than .66 allows you to create folders in different colors. For most of us, nothing to obsess over.

I have a couple of comments, now.
- .66 did not fix my issue where I cannot use Bluetooth to create a tethered dial-up connection from my laptop.
- .66 did not fix my issue where, after being tethered for a while, when I disconnect, I don't get email sync to my phone (I'm on BES) for as much as 30 minutes, and then, when I do, I get all the email that I sent (via Outlook) showing up in the Inbox on my BB.

Are you sure problem number one is due to the OS and not to a setup issue on the PC? Installations and uninstallations of OS's and DM can remove the modems and the custom strings.

No, I'm not sure. But, I had XP Pro w/SP2 and my Pearl with OS 4.3 before and had no problem setting up tethered connections via both USB and BT.
Now, I've done a clean install of XP Pro and have SP3 and upgraded my Pearl to OS v4.5.0.56, and now 4.5.0.66, and I had no trouble creating the dial-up connection for USB, but can't get BT to work.
My device shows as successfully paired to my laptop in BT Devices in Windows. When I try to do Configure Bluetooth from the Blackberry Device Manager, I click on Add and I can see on my Pearl's display that it connects via BT momentarily, then the dialog in the BB Device Manager says "Verify that the Bluetooth enabled device is configured for use with the BlackBerry Desktop Software. For more information, contact your Administator."
I suppose it could be something about XP SP3, but that seems unlikely.

ps. If I connect my BB via USB, then go into Desktop Manager, Options/Connection options, it shows my connection type as USB-PIN with my PIN number, and the checkbox for Turn on Bluetooth Support is checked. If I click the button that says Configure Bluetooth, it's the same deal as I outlined above when doing it through Device Manager.

You aren't trying to have USB and BT at the same time are you? USB will take precedence.

pps. I just upgraded my Desktop Manager to what I had understood was v4.6.1. It actually says it's v4.6.0.12. The file name is 460_b015_multilanguage.exe. The filename of my previous version is 460_b008_multilanguage.exe.
Anyway...
Same results as before.

I had not tried to do the Bluetooth setup while hooked up via USB until 15 minutes ago. I had been always attempting it with the BB not hooked up via USB. Now I have tried it both ways. Same results.
