Hi

i have a blackberry bold 9000 that is locked to a BES. I have tried using the JL_Cmder three times (and also tried another post that included downloading a policy.bin file). I am using windows vista and have downloaded the most up to date OS and desktop manager so am stumped as to what to do!

One thing I did notice was that when I looked up device info and event log on the JL_Cmder it came up with lots 0f 0x0's rather than any info relevant to the device.

Any thoughts? This is starting to drive me a little crazy!

Smile Unlocked from IT Policy and BES and camera enabled!

JL_Cmder is available below "JL_Cmder *Updated 10/10/2008* - 11-09-2005, 11:28 AM " post, register to the forum, download the Zip file to your computer, extract the file, choose option 5 - reset to the factory and Hey presto all is well!

Thank you all for this post and file. Bless you.

No, you ran out of attempts to unlock it. There's nothing you can do.

MML is illegal stolen software and will not be discussed on this forum.

Do a search. I've always assumed it is proprietary software -- probably engineering software -- that was leaked or stolen. Regardless, discussion regarding use is not permitted, as js says.

But the other important point for you is that it's one of the few ways to really "brick" a blackberry, and plenty have done it and then come to the forum looking for help only to learn what they've done.

It is illegal because it is copyrighted intellectual property and not meant to be redistributed. We do not allow that here at this forum.

Default Help Uninstall & reinstall......

Running Windows XP Service Pack 3

Hi I got a "JVM error 102" earlier today on my BB 9700, so i found a link earlier where I was able to install JL_Cmder v1.9.0 & it running smooth for a while. After I closed the program I tried to reopen it, but it would flicker between red & black. So I tried to go to REMOVE PROGRAMS to uninstall, with no luck I figured that I could just go C:PRogram Files\ JL_Cmder and delete the program folder from there and i was able to do that. The only problem is that I cannot succesfully install JL_Cmder, I have even tried to install v1.9.1....... HELP PLZ

Yes. Type the wrong password in 10 times. It will wipe the data and you can enter a new password.

i have only used 3 out of the 10 guesses, as i did not want to screw myself over.

When i run JL_cmder it says

"does this device lock with a password"

i press yes

and it says 'the password will display on the screen briefly, and no password every displays anywhere?

help

should i do tyhis with the sim card in or out, and the battery in or out?
i thought the phone would become useless at that point? and permanently lock itself up?

No. The device will not "render itself completely unusable" nor will it "permanently lock itself up".

It will just wipe all the data so that you can start over.

Thumbs down

ok got it cleaned out, now i want to do a full wipe, and reinstall without the vendor.xml

i get as far as trying to wipe but jl cmnd doesnt wipe, it just goes to the "type blackberry" to continue, n then nothing happens,

followed the instructions for "what to do if jl cmnd does not connect n wipe,

i get to the step "type " loader.exe /nojvm"

that works, then the instructions say to look for "USB:UNKNOWN or USB:BBPIN" i do, i find it, i click on it and an error comes up.....

basically the instructions for "What to do next if Jl Cmder will not connect and wipe" do not indicate if you should be attempting the instructions with the battery in or out...

also, how can i just install software by loading " loader.exe /nojvm" overtop of the software already in the device, if jl cmnd did not wipe?

this is a screen shot of the error that comes up

well well, after doing a screen shot, which was a waste of times, it says i cannot post links or images.....

so you dont get to see,

but it says

"the blackberry desktop software does not have blackberry device software for the device tha tyou have connected to this computer. contact your wirless service provider or system administrator.

and yes, i do have the OS files on my computer ready to install, and yes they are the latest version, so i do not know why it cannot find it, i tried to browse to locate it, that did not work either........
