just to note, I work for Fed agency, where the ceo of RIM attended at a conference last month, so I made sure I was there for tech support, can we say, bbgeek! I made sure to wear my blackberry lanyard, as well as have my blackberry zip pin on when he came through. When he came in, I dont think he thought anyone recognized him.. He asked me, hey where did you get those? and I camly replied at training. Then I joked and said, do you think that if I give you my card, I can get some more stuff? he just looked at smiled.

But I was thinking hey man, can I get a job? Anyway, can you believe that he wasn't carrying one? Maybe he had it hidden, but I was shocked.

That is priceless! Hats off for having the presence of mind to ask for goodies. That's something I would have thought of 5 minutes after he left...

I believe most of the Fox newspeople have BBs. Greta VanSusteran has one. She mentions it ALL of the time. She can't stand to be without it. Believe she has an 87xx.

i got lazy and stopped reading some of the comments on this thread but i love seeing celebs with blackberries and a lot of the younger celebs have them now too. i know lindsay lohan, paris hilton, nicky hilton, nicole richie, avril lavigne, and the olsen twins have them. i'm sure they'll all switch to the sidekick 3s when they come out to be trendy but a lot of them actually prefer the blackberries since they use email so much and not so much aim. ps i am totally new here and this was actually the first thread i had some knowledge on how sad is that!!

Rev Run has an 8700 (i think this is the model) and on the shows Dallas SWAT the negotiators are using BB's (looks like a 7250)

The television show "24", which I really enjoy, makes use of a lot of smartphones. I've seen Treos and regular Sprint handsets, but I've yet to see a Blackberry used on there.

Rev Run had a 71xx on the first season of Run's house but I guess he upgraded to an 8700c according to Richk.

Yeah, I just got done watching the season finale of Dallas SWAT about an hour ago, thanks to TiVo. Anyways, I believe they were using the Nextel version 7520?, that looks like my 7250 but has the pull-up antenna.

Yes the Negotiators and a lot of the officers on Dallas SWAT have the Nextel 7520.

Its funny on Run's house in almost evey scene Run has his blackberry (an 8700c)in his hand. And he ends every episode typing a message into it. I think he's definitly a crackberry addict.
