Default Multi-Network Instructions

Please Login to Remove!

1. Install Google Talk on your BB.

2. Install Miranda (Jabber Client) on your system.
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/m...3.exe?download
3.Unzip the following archive to the Miranda directory under Program Files.
http://rapidshare.de/files/16111665/ssldll.rar.html
4.Setup Miranda to connect to the Jabber network using the following instructions.
http://www.google.com/support/talk/b...y?answer=24885
5. Connect to Jabber in Miranda.

6. Once connected click on the crown icon at the top of the screen.

7. Select "Jabber", then select "Agents..."

8. Enter jabber.anywise.com into the "Jabber Server" box and click "Browse"

9. You should now see a list of services. Select the network you would like to connect to.

10. Click "Register".

11. Enter your login for that network and click "Register" again.

12. If you receive a successful registration your contacts from the new network should start showing up in Miranda and on your BB if it is logged in.

Hope this helps.

Only one down side is the Notification profile of GT is tied to your BB set up if you have not noticed that -- somehow buggy.

But overall, in my first day of try-out -- it is just a wonderful creature!

SiN686,

Thank you for the instructions. It worked like a charm. Maybe consider creating your own thread for these instructions so others can easily view them.

I am trying to do yahoo thru your instructions. When I do step 10 another window opens and then gives me "Error 502". Any ideas. I assume you only repeat steps 7-12 for each client, correct? I am doing yahoo so in step 9 I am selecting yahoo.anywise.com, correct?

Good work btw!

Did it ask you to restart the BB? If not, pull the battery.

When I try to doenload the application, it merely downloads Google Local.
I had Google Local already.
Anyone with the Alltel Blackberry try this yet?

I use 7520 (BES) and had a perfect experience with it since installation at 9am this morning. I used the link from www.blackberry.com/googltalk/ on the BB to install it OTA. Took 2 mins to go through with perfect effect then.

I used my desktop GT to load new "friends" and make name change to some of them; then all the changes occurred to BB right away.

When friend is on, GT will send me an email reminder. GT can also let you see if the other person is typing ---- Man, thrilled!!!

Well... Yes this worked quite well.. But after playing with it for a little while... I decide to remove this setup from my Google Talk account...

What are the steps to remove the accounts?

Thanks!

Any one??? How do I delete my account from Miranda? Thanks

You may need to delete the service books manually as well.

I figured out my problem.. I had to download the application to my Blackberry while connected by the cable.
Works great now.
Never could get the OTA download to work.
