it might have to do with the link you follow to get the software because I tried yesterday via the link posted here in the original post and it didn't work. I clicked on the same link that was in their story about the "CES top 5 gadgets" and their yahoo GO is on there and it worked.
A little bit big of a download (524K) but it works very well. The graphics are cool and one could only assume that its the reason why it loads much slower than berry411 or other less graphic intense software.

What is your blackberry model number? I thought the general consensus was that some were closed (the pearl, etc) and some aren't (8700).

I'm trying to put it on my pearl (BIS). I'm not putting it on the 8700 (BES) as I don't want anyone seeing my personal stuff.

I used the same method you mention above & found that it must be done on a PC. Once I used my laptop & entered phone # it sent the text msg to my 7130c & everything was fine from there.

Mine is the 8700c so that might be the reason but when I select to download for Pearl it still links me to the same location.

Reset my browser to BB and got the Yahoo Go! 2.0 Beta... I agree it's a heavy program not that quick...

That hasn't worked for me. I've tried it three times from my PC now. The first two times I tried to download the software, I tried from my Blackberry, but I've tried three times to go via the link sent in the text and I get that message:
"There are no plans to support Yahoo! Go 2.0 on your PDA"
I don't get it. It seems that I am just not going to get it.

I downloaded it to my 8703e without a problem, but tried logging into my Yahoo account and got a java script exception error? I also have my BB set to flash the led, which stopped once I loaded Yahoo Go. I finally had to delete the program. Does anyone have any idea what is going on?

They probably don't want Pearl users to download it because maybe its not ready for that particular model. It works fine in my 8700 and after you get used to using the program it becomes a bit faster too.

For what it's worth, I deleted it. I agree with those who've written that it is slow. Bottom line for me is that while I think it is a neat app, I can do what I need (news feeds, weather, maps and directions, information search/lookup) quicker and more simply with other apps. Efficiency wins out over pretty for me.

I give up, Yahoo Go is a no go.
Well after reading everyone tips, failures AND watching the Apple iPhone launch video - I no longer care about Yahoo Go. It promised alot, looked cool, has features I would like to have, but it doesn't work.
Good news is my BB continues to work and be reliable.
Sorry to say, I will only use my BB until I can buy an iPhone. I loved my 7130c more than any other phone/smart phone/pda, until I saw the iPhone.

Well I had nothing better to do as I'm bored out of my mind so I downloaded it with my 8700c. No issues whatsoever!
It still won't download to the Pearl, so it's my assumption that it's not stable enough to be put on the 8100.

Hi, got this in the UK for my 8700g, but it doesn't seem to take anything from My Yahoo, i.e., don't have ANY sport on My Yahoo - don't do sport! But it still brings up all kinds of sport on the BB, also, home town is set to London on My Yahoo, and it shows NY for my city.
When I installed on BB, it asked for my My Yahoo username and password, but it doesn't seem to have made any difference.... Only thing that seems to work is My Email, which works correctly!

In my case the location upon instalation was Sunnyvale CA. (I'm in USA) Whatever, you change it to whatever you want, your "local" address.
On your Yahoo stuff, like news feeds, it doesn't automatically bring that up. You can manually import, however.

no i am not using a pearl i have an 8703e from verizon... the program just felt clunky and i felt as if I could open browser and navigate to yahoo faster. that and using my bbmaps/google maps and berry 411. I'll stick with those!
