Yes, same here. Occasionally I'll get all the icons. Sometimes only a few, most of the time, none of the weather icons appear, only the temps. I asked Chris (the developer), he didn't understand it either.

Default weather works

I had been getting the "tunneling" error message until I put in wap.voicestream.com for the tcp with no username or password. (I am TMO BWC 4.0 from TMO) Now my wweahter works for the firs ttime - cool!

I read in anopther forum that TMo has open the ports again... can anyone confirm?

DestinysChild--

Where are you in the US? Do you have "NON-BES" checked in the preferences? I am also TMO BWC 4.0 and the weather does not work for me (Error: unable to open connection)

Let me know if you have any ideas.

BTW, I have heard that TMO opened the ports, check this thread; http://www.blackberryforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=1983

Does the weather screen work?
Do you have BES? (BlackBerry Enterprise Server)

Dude - now I'm getting the same message - it only worked for like a day. I changed nothing. Baffling!

I'm running 7510 (Nextel) v.4.0 and this program installed without a hitch. I love having the next appt., tasks and messages waiting available at one glance.

I'd recommend this for any Blackberry junkie.

Nice app!

So how about it? There must be enough Canucks carrying around their BB's with US bordertown weather icons running now... I have seen a couple other mentions in this thread, so I know there is interest. I'd ante up if you made Canadian postals or cities available...

FYI http://mobile.blackberry.com links to a couple weather links in it that return weather icons to the BB. I believe the full address for the final query is http://mobile.blackberry.com/mss/wea...XXXXX_YY_ZZZZZ where X's are the country, y's are the 2 letter state/province and z is the city.

Maybe you could just make a fake Canadian overlay with COLD for all the icons in the interim? That should buy you at least 4 months testing time... ;)

i can't get past the "error couldn't find bb attachment" or whatever it is, but that's the gist of it

7100t--os 4.0--T-mobile

my net service/reception isn't very good here, so i'm downloading off the computer and installing that way, is it NECESSARY to have an internet connection to start the app

berry 411 is doing the same thing

i've tried reinstalling and it does no good

I ran this excellent application for a few weeks, but kept getting "Error: Max Connections Opened" when I tried to use reqwireless' WebViewer. Oddly enough, this message would also show up on the Weather portion of the BBToday screen. I uninstalled BBToday and haven't had the problem since.

I miss it somewhat -- anyone else had this problem?

VCI_Cell,

The problem you are having is actually with Reqwirless Webviewer not BBToday. It has been an ongoing glitch in their software somewhere. The only way I can get things back to normal is to do a soft reset (BBToday will follow suit and work properly afterwards).

shadow07, I have an AT&T WS 7290 (possibly same as yours) and BBToday also didn't work until I upgraded to the HK v4.0. My only remaining issue is the weather is giving me the "could not open tunnel-failed" error. Is your weather working? And if so, can you goto Options|TCP and let me know if you have any APN settings? Also, if you looked at the Weather Preferences, do you have Non BES: checked?

He took it off his site and put it on another one so others could work on it and improve as they saw fit. Check the original thread on PDA Street, he wrote the address of the new location in it.

From RIMROAD, I finally found a working link for BBToday downloads.
Download BBToday from SourceForge

I have edited the original post.

Thankyou Mark. Don't know what we'd do without u....

I noticed a problem with my weather screen as well, but I read in another post by another member that he/she fixed their problem by setting their TCP: APN settings. So I entered my APN settings and then the weather portion of the app worked.

Hope this helps. :D

Here is my next question... do we occur any charges with the weather program accessing the internet. Since this is a 3rd party app, or isn't it?
