another issue (also had it with the Vodafone release, hoped it would be fixed with this release)
If the phone is locked, and you answer a call using the "answer" or green button, the call status screen disappears, but the call is still there (you need to press the green button to recall the screen).
Answering the phone with the trackball does not cause this.
Anyone else had this?

Nope; when I hit the green button on a call, it picks up. The phone is locked. Just tested it.

One thing I have noticed is that moving the trackball will not silence anything any more. Lets say if your pearl is sitting on your desk and you get an email before moving the trackball would stop this now you have to hit any key to make the ringer stop.. Im not sure if this is good or bad but thats what it is.

Worst thing ever!!!!!
the voice command does not work when you hold the left side button. It is no longer a double-action button....
I used the button for "messages" and when you hold it on tmobile or rogers, it would do voice command... now it does not have that double feature...
hope tmobile comes out with their update soon.

Ahhh. This sucks BIG time! I am in the middle of loading the new updates when I saw your post. If I had seen your post 15 minutes earlier, I would not have started the updates...
Why does RIM always *take out* features when they release new updates? First they made auto-dim permanent and now this. Very disheartening.

Shambasa and Nickbee,
You will lose your BES connection if you do your update without a connection to your corporate email account. You have to be connected to your corporate email server somehow, either VPN, direct network connection (LAN), or even dial up (heaven forbid) to your corporate network somehow. Just connect to the network as if you were going to open Outlook (or whatever you use) and check your email. THEN plug in your BB and open Desktop Manager. If asked, choose the email profile that corresponds to your email account. Once Desktop Manager starts give it a couple of minutes and activation should start on it's own. If it doesn't then try regenerating the encryption keys by going to Email Settings, Security, Generate keys manually->Generate. Give it another couple minutes. If that still doesn't start the activation then call your BB IT person and he/she will set you up with a password to do it OTA.

NJBlackBerry; Just to be clear, my 8100 does answer the call, but the call status dialog disappears. This only happens when the phone is locked.

I can send picture attachments from my Gmail account just fine. I can't send them from my BES account as our BES server is still on 4.0.0.33 or something like that.

For some reason the icon that indicates caps (the ABC icon) stays on when I go back to the homescreen from say browsing or sending an email. It covers up the signal strength icon. I don't know if this is a bug from the O2 update, but it definetly never occured before.

Alright, no one seems to have addressed this, so I shall ask the question!
People have complained about the delay when you answer an incoming call between the time the other end stops hearing the rings, and finally hears you.. Does this update fix that?

Actually, I thought that was a bug in the earlier OS' (double-action) and that they fixed it.
And I am reasonably confident that T-Mobile is testing the same version.

1) What is a 2g?
2) Software.se.t-mobile.com generally is not the first site to get updated by T-Mobile. Right now it has the original 8100 software out on it. I would use BlackBerry Upgrade for more current software.
