I was saying that I'm trying to get the hang of my new 8800 Blackberry'w trackball when playing Brickbreaker. Well, I have had it for about three weeks and have played the game a little over a dozen times and finally got through level 34 today - so I'm now ready to drive up my score as it was only 16,960 (only got back around to level 4).

What gets me is some of the posts where the person talks about having
100+ lives and having scores in excess of one million! I am definitely a novice because I've only managed to get back to level 16 after getting through 34 levels the first time. I gather the game takes it easy on you if you make it the 2d time around and actually showers you with lives - so that is my next goal.

26710, i get past the first round with about 10-12 lives, then its like the computer kills me on purpose, i am right where the ball is supposed to hit by for some weird reason a miss it.

i cant stand the fact that it doesnt hit the corner of the paddle.. it just goes through...

just got 15365 on level 29.. i got to level 29 with like 7 balls...

first off i know no one will belive me so i tryed to take a picture but could not get it to come out with flash on or off. my score right now on brickbreaker is 353855!!!!. i have a blackberry 7100i and the game has 32 levels that i have gone though probley 10 times or more. if any one has any ideas how to take pic so it will show up let me know so i can prove.

Currently at close to 1,400,000. Have 753 lives.

Now with every opening shot, the ball hits a wall and says "try again" like I lost the ball - although it does not deduct a life. See above posts for similar glitches.

Problem is, I cannot lose another ball - ever. Or break another brick. Nuthin. Only choice is to reset. And maybe take a photo of my high score screen shot.

Lesson: kill your game at 1,000,000 plus to record a high score. Actually, the glitch starts to appear around the 75th time through, then increases in occurrences until it happens with every...single...hit (wall or brick). Until reaching the absolute end, like I have now done.

I assume the programmers built in this death spiral bug...

Hi guys,
I get very frustrated with my 8800, I'm on level 33 3rd time around and the ball disapears on the top of the sreen. I have 48400 5 lives and would like to continue.
I read that if you wait long enough the ball will come back. Is that true ?

If not I will have to stop playing :(

I post the follow up. I read some thread and decided to let the game run without the ball and this morning : Miracle it was back (and even destroyed the last brick). So I'm on my way to 50 000 with 5 life. The trick works ! Do not despear !

I'm now at 99150 but 1 live left, I went 50 levels with 2 or 3 lives that fell down max, then on level 22 the game went into a weird loop I could not get out of and lost my 20 lives. Now the ball has disapeared again but since I only have that life left I guess It will be over when it comes back

The follow up.

The ball came back and lucky me it destroyed the last brick before I lost. With my only live I went on and passed the final stages.

I'm at 147000 now and once again it has disapeared But I don't care I know it will be back in an hour or a day or two.

I'm struggling with adding lives. I can't seem to pass 20. I would like to have a confortable reserve but I can't seem to get it. Everytime the Live brick is in the last to be destroyed and I of course don't get it !

I'm now at 19 and I hope when it comes back to reach 50 it's my new challenge !

I'm only sitting around 8k or so on OS 4.0. I tend to only play on the bus so if we hit a bump when I'm moving the paddle, I die a lot.

Once again the ball reapeared and I started playing, after 1 34 turn, I reach a level on which I catch multiball and then 2 bricks at once (catch is one) and all balls deasapear. I hope one was stuck before and that it is not a big other bug. Anyhow it's starting to be boring to play.

I must say for only having my BB for one week and my brick breaker score is already at 9190, I am sucked into this-- pretty bad
