I don't have that problem either... The ABC indicates you are in tap mode. Go into edit mode (start an e-mail) and press and hold the * key to reverse it.

I am having the same issue weegee...Did you find a fix for it?

I was contemplatingg upgrading to the new o2 OS but if there is a delay in answering calls like there was with the T-Mo OS I think I will stick with the Rogers OS.

The delay is not across all users. I don't have it at all. Running the latest OS!

this i dont get they fix issues in the rogers OS but then when a newer OS comes out like O2 some issues come back like the call lag. Why dont they just fix all the issues at once and make sure these dont come back in future OS releases? the Rogers was almost perfect exept for the issue of the green light staying on if you had it set for the trackball to change colors. you would think if they fixed something one it would bew fixed in any future OS upgrade no?

RIM's Rogers download site still has 4.2.0.61. Do you have a Rogers link for 4.2.0.74?

I am gonna take the plunge and upgrade to the newer o2 OS. If I don't like it I can always roll back, hopefully I won't have the call lag issue.

I went ahead and took the plunge to upgrade. I unfortunately am part of the group which this upgrade did NOT work for. Surprisingly the one thing that bugged me the most from my experience is just the slight lag when scrolling through icons that I never had when running the previous OS.

Just gonna wait for Tmobile's version. I'm very anal about software/programs being stable even if they don't offer as much.

They're like a T-Mobile or a Cingular only colder. Rogers is a Canadian wireless service provider. And the only Canadian source of the Pearl.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8100/4.2.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

I have noticed with the new version, pictures actually render faster on the phone. No more hour glass very fast. Also like the standby button working now

I thought you've downgraded to rogers?

I did notice with the O2 release, pearl is a bit more responsive. Also, the web browser is a *lot* faster when loading or rendering pages. Did anyone else notice this?
