Yah! Youtube is working great on my Bold after installing .190! No need to delete the service books evertime I reboot my Bold! Under the TCP, i just have to add the "internet.com" in the APN once and that's it! Best so far for me!

Upgrades
Upgraded the OS to .190 Wed night and it went flawlessly. Best of all, after doing the upgrade and battery pull, my free app memory jumped from 19MB to 50 MB - wow! Battery life is still a PITA though. If only RIM could come out with an upgrade that improves the battery life significantly!

I've updated to .190 and everything is working good. Reception seems better with the AT&T network. Had 60mb of free space after the OS install and battery pull (no apps installed). I don't have the thumbnail issue some of us are having.
One small issue I do have is with my Jawbone 2 bluetooth device, whenever I turn on my Jawbone my phone will say "Connection to Jawbone failed" but it eventually will connect to it no problem. This happens everytime I turn on the Jawbone, but once it connects it works great. It's no big deal, just wondering if anyone else had this issue?
Other than that, .190 seems like the best OS for me so far!

here's an ignorant question...
i got my at&t blackberry bold 11-4 and still have original v4.6.0.167 (Platform 4.0.0.157).
i read terms like "memory leak" and see people say newer operating system seems "faster" but so far i have not noticed any performance issues on my at&t blackberry bold that impel me toward having to deal with BES and other post-upgrade issues.
do a lot of folks just hang back indefinitely until at&t officially posts a newer operating system for their blackberries?

If you wait for AT&T to post an updated version of the OS, you might as well wait for the next version of the hardware. Well, maybe I exaggerate a little, but i think that AT&T still has the old 4.2.x.x version for the Curve 8310, when the vastly superior 4.5.0.81 versions have been available on other carriers' sites for months. And that upgrade was major in terms of features and function.
For the Bold, the AT&T OS is, I believe, 167. I am using 185 but I can't compare it to 167 because I upgraded the Bold right out of the box to avoid the hassle of the re-registering of 3rd party apps. I doubt AT&T will upgrade for quite a while, but no one knows.
My question now is whether to go from 185 to 190 or wait until the next OS comes out--there seem to be some issues with 190 according to a few posts here, and I can't tell if 190 is a significant improvement from 185, even assuming no bugs in 190.

Hello there
I have a Bold on Vodafone UK. I have Vodafone Sat Nav. I have read somewhere that if I upgrade the operating system as described in this forum I will lose the Vodafone Sat Nav. Is that correct please?
Thanks in advance

I have been getting jvm 104 errors on this os. I have been impressed by battery life and wifi connectivity was far better than with 162.
I have Viigo, BB Maps and Google maps and mobipocket with docs to go.
Not sure if this error comes from interaction with 3P apps or from os itself.

After installing .190 on my computer and upon plugging in my phone for some reason DM does not give me an option to upgrade. I redownloaded and reinstalled .190 and the problem still exists. Any advice on how to complete the upgrade?

Just got a new AT&T Bold
It's a virgin Bold, I haven't even set up BIS yet.
Now the question is, do I go straight to .190 or .185?
My unit came with .167.

Personally, I upgrade to the latest before I do anything to the device. That way you start from scratch.

I agree. That's what i did when I got the Bold with 167 on it--i went directly to 185, and no problems.
Do you see anything in 190 that makes it worth the trouble to go to that from 185, and if so, what do you make of the bug reports here on 190?
