Default BB Javelin or Bold?

Please Login to Remove!

Hey everyone I was just wondering what people want to buy (or would want to buy). As many know, the power house devices that are coming out soon are the Bold and the Javelin.
From what I've seen the Javelin is the same as the bold, just with a different keyboard, camera (location and megapixel, the Bold having 2 and the Javelin 3mp). I've also read somewhere that the screen will be larger. Of course the Bold = 3g, while the Javelin will continue to stay on EDGE and GSM (GPRS). The Javelin will be a tad bit thinner.

Are these characteristics correct?
If so, what will people buy or would like to buy?

I like them both a lot with a slight preference for the Javelin mainly because of its smaller overall size.

I'm more for the features and a data plan so I would go for the Bold. Having a BlackBerry data plan and 3G has to be the ultimate internet/email experience for the consumer. If I could get the Javelin off network, it could also be used as a decent BlackBerry device.

My only concern is the battery life. I have the 8300 and the 8100. I usually wake up at 7 AM and unplug my BB, i have JT on all day, and use it for NUMEROUS hours, I can get through the day easily with 45% left, now, if I go out clubbing and come home at 7 AM again, I'm usually redlining the battery, because it shows a red line and says "battery low" lol. Will the bold be able to handle that on 3g :s.. That's my only concern :(.

Now that I'm ported over to AT&T it's all about the 3G and the Bold!

I'll take the one released with UMA enabled. Both are significant improvements over both the Curve models and the 8800/8820 devices.

I'm leaning toward the Javelin. I like the 3.2 MP camera, and 3G isn't that important to me. But the main thing about both is the greater processor power. Current generation BBs are underpowered and it's time to take the next step.

I voted for the Javelin....However, this poll breaks all BBF forum rules because there is no option for beer.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry Javelin)

I want the Javelin. But since the Bold comes out sooner, I might just get it. Then get the Javelin as well and go bankrupt. I need the 13th month pay early

I'm leaning this way, but also for the improved camera. Also, the battery life is more important to me than 3G. Hopefully they will be released relatively close to each other so you can go to the store and compare them in your hands. I just fear that the Bold will be out within 30 days but the Javelin not until early December. I'm not sure I can wait 90 days after the Bold is released to see if I'd like the Javelin more.

I voted Javelin as well, especially since I don't think I will be leaving T-Mobile anytime soon.

If the new pictures are of the new javelin, I might wait. I opened up my Curve today and cleaned it out Dust gone! Woo! hopefully it'll stay out... hehe. It'll hold me over until either Bold / Javelin.
