Post Storm 2 (9550) Battery Test

Please Login to Remove!

Hello everyone

I've been meaning to run a battery test on my 9550 to see if that suits my needs and everyones...

So far I am still running test (its hard to find time to use the phone for this kind of test) but Im presenting my proyection and a chart with what will be the possible outcome

Please note that testing is made in a location with good cell signal. For music the screen was most of the time off but I did turn it on at least each hour... and I received instant messages and push notifications, so your experience may vary

For the left test I played a music playlist for 3 hours and then I just played "shuffle all"

I will run the video test with BT headphones and I will update, but for now these are the best proyections of results I get.

Also note that Im running OS .320 so those with .428 will have to wait till I upgrade (Im waiting for official release)

I know this thread is not so popular from what I can tell. But if you're into multimedia with your Storm 2 like me, then you'll find interesting that I made another test.

This time I watch the full "Home" movie directly from Youtube. (Its a 1 hr and 33 min long and I watched over 3g with youtube video on HQ)

After the movie I had only used 60% of the battery, this means that you can watch nearly 2.5 hours of Youtube, which is not bad at all

No one else has said it yet, but thanks for the chart. It's interesting data, I'm surprised it lasts as long as it does to be honest.

You're welcome . Yeah I too was surprised, given that I could only squeeze 7 hours of music (with wired HP) on my Pearl Flip and I normally didnt have to use the big screen, since you could see what you're playing on the external screen..

Anyway my conclusions are that the Storm is great for casual Video and Music... but for some people may not be the best choice as an mp3 Player (cosidering that if you skip songs a lot or seek and actually use it as a phone! you will get smaller results). I have a microUSB charger in the car and I carry the cable with my laptop, so I usually dont get caught off guard in this department...
