Anybody have this, I just made a call and it changed to GPRS and when i browse the internet on phone it stays on 3G. Not sure why, other person said it was breaking up a little.

Anybody know why it would switch down to gprs on call?

There were times in the past when 3G signal would become weak that the device would not successfully drop to EDGE. A soft reset (alt-cap-del) would fix it for me. I don't know if that is still the case with the newer versions of OS 5 or not. Anyway, something along those lines is the only thing that comes to mind. Not exactly the same thing, I know. But, if it's a problem, you know the first troubleshooting step.... Do a battery pull.

EDIT: You are talking about the 9800, aren't you? Same advice still applies. Try a battery pull.

Also, update your profile.

Default Gprs

ATT has always pushed calls to 2G if 3G is full or getting full.
ALL E911 calls are pushed to 2G as the location measuring equipment is on 2G only. Once you are on 2G the call will NOT hand up to 3G so if you get into an area with poor 2G coverage (have been shutting down 2G sites to make room for more 3G) your call will drop.
