Default Loading AT&T OS on unlocked T-Mobile 8120

Please Login to Remove!

I have an unlocked BB Pearl 8120, which has been loaded with T-Mobile OS. My service is AT&T, and I have downloaded the AT&T OS, installed it on my computer, but when I wipe the BB using JL_Cmder, the Desktop Manager v.5 will only reload the T-Mobile OS, which it lists as "preferred". It will allow me to select the AT&T OS, but when I try to install it, Desktop Manager tells me to contact my service provider. I have tried downgrading to the AT&T OS, but it won't allow that either. I've looked at various guides and recommendations, but nothing seems to work. Apparently, I can never get rid of the T-Moble startup screen, but I would at least like to get rid of all those unnecessary icons and junk, other than just putting them in a folder. Anyone have any suggestions on how to wipe the T-Mobile OS and install an AT&T OS or is it even possible? It seems to me that the T-Mobile OS is pretty much locked into the firmware of the BB. Thanks for the help.

The icons and junk from t-mobile are due to service books.
At&T also pushes service books that create icons and junk as well.
You'll be no better off.

Try using App Loader in C:\Program Files Common\ Research In Motion\App Loader instead of using Desktop Manager. I'm using an AT&T 8110 OS on my T-Mobile UK Locked 8110.
