hey buddies,

most probably my relative wud b travelling to london next month and i have said him to bring a pearl for me.

now as the device wud b comin to india , and i don't want any services by the t-mob , what are the steps shud he follow ? here is what i think :-

1. go to the tmob store
2. ask for the bb pearl.
3. get it unlocked thru them.
4. pay the price in pounds and approx. what shud it cost around ? [ without and wid unlocking ]
5. will one sd - card be there in the device or he will have to buy one ?

3. You won't be able to have T-Mobile unlock it for you. They require that your account be in good standing for a minimum of something like 90 days before they'll give you the unlock code, and even then they can drag their feet. They're not required to give it to you at all, really. You'll have to buy an unlock code from someone like GSMPhoneSources for about $99.

5. There will not be a micro-SD card included. You'll have to buy one of those yourself. Make sure to get one no bigger than 1 GB. The bigger ones do not work and freeze the Blackberry if you even try.

Actually, GSMPhoneSource's unlock fee recently dropped to $75.
