Default Help please, I need advice

Please Login to Remove!

I have Tmobile service and bought my son a BB Curve yesterday. Of course the GPS is not enabled and I need a GPS puck ....I am clueless....So I was thinking of scrapping Tmobile and going with AT&T because their Curves are GPS enabled. However, their service plans are worse than TMobile so I would be paying about $30 more per month for less features. i guess my question is, is a GPS puck simple to use or something my son would have to take with him everywhere. he is a new teenage driver, so the GPS is the main reason I got him this phone. We want to be able to track and also for him to use the maps. Any help is so appreciated. I don't know what to do. Thanks,

You could purchase an ATT branded 8310 and have it unlocked. Then you could put your T-Mobile sim in it.

But that's not your biggest concern, I would be more concerned with having a teenage driver in the family. Yikes!

The gps puck's are Bluetooth. Yet another device to charge up. Otherwise not that complex.

Now, as for his using it - A new driver already has a lot to think about - the rather small size of the screen and keys might induce fumbling, taking eyes off road, etc. A large, written sheet of directions might be easier to use for a while.

As for you tracking him - well, that is possible - there are a variety of applications but he can turn it off/on while he is in control of the phone!

To track your son you'll want to look into this AirIQ 1-888-606-6444
This is a product by the folks who brought Clearnet to the airwaves before it was gobbled up by Telus.
