Why should i stay with Att?
Please Login to Remove!
Im starting to get frustrated with att, it just seems like everything is going good for tmobile and im stuck with att that offers nothing but taking more money from me. I mean why cant att have an upgrade too? Why tmobile? How come i cant download the aim application? Its says my lame service provider doesnt offer it, so i gotta spend $20 for jivetalk? It aint much but its still money while tmobile gets it for free? Blackberry package is cheaper for tmobile and they get wi fi with hot spots, so they have a cheaper package that offers more than my expensive one. Whats pros are there to stay with att? I know the 8310 is gonna come out but i heard that the built in gps doesnt work with google, so what does that force me to do? To sign up with telenav for an extra $10 a month. Great job on att for robbing me. Can anyone convince me why att is worth it?

Stop whinning will ya! Go ahead and move to T-Mo and get it over with.
But before you do, check out the coverage areas for ATT and T-Mo? I bet you'd find a wider coverage area for ATT. I bet you would find a 3G network (although it doesn't mean anything for the BB just yet). I bet you would fime pretty good BBs and other devices. Why do you need the latest and greatest before it actually hits the street?
If it doesn't work when and where you need it to work, then it really doesn't matter haw many pretty phones or cheap plans or WiFi or whatever. It is still too darned expensive

it depends on where you live...here in florida...tmobile blows and at&t is king. it could be different where you are living. to me having better service is more important then getting upset about wifi and applications you only have to spend $20 for.
just my $0.02

Picking a provider is like determining if you would rather be shot or hung. If you are serious determine which provider has the best coverage in the area you will be traveling, best plan including SMS and other features that you use, known billing issues, friends opinons and finally pick the least worst. The least worst for you may well be at&t after you review the options in a calm rational manner.
If I remember correctly an issue of Consumer Reports had used car salesman at a higher level than cell phone providers in a survey. Buyer Beware.

I just switched to tmobile from sprint and I have to say that I am not impressed. I get very little reception at my house. I live in Northern Cali and At&T and even sprint is superior to tmobile. However, tmobile has way better pricing. Do you want go reception or good pricing?
I might return my 8320 and go with the 8310 for At&t...still thinking.

I have at&t and have no complaints. They arent perfect, but are better than most. They have the best selection of devices and best coverage in my area. The plans do cost more than t-mobile, but I get service where my buddy's tmoblie phone doesnt.

Hmmm wait till device is released! Didn't we all hear how att was gonna cripple gps? Did they no! I'm willin to bet it will work with gmaps!
ATT does offer an upgrade every 18 months!
ATT has a larger network and will have 3G network long before TMO! ATT does have wifi just not everywhere. Thet are in business to make money.
Sure ATT costs more their pricing is the same as their major competitors of which TMO isn't

the reason tmobile's prices are better is because service wise their coverage is shit....compared to most carriers and honestly they don't care about the US. The US for them is like a big test market....go over to europe and tmobile is just about the best carrier.

For me, where I live, it is just about pricing. All the major carriers (T-Mobile, Sprint, AT&T and Verizon) have great coverage where I live. So it came down to T-Mobile for pricing. I am using their BlackBerry Minutes and Mail offering: Unlimited Data, Unlimited Text Messages, and 1000 minutes for $60.

Actually TMO does care about the US it is the only market in which TMO is growing. They have saturated europe and have very little growth.

I beg to differ. It depends on location. In Gainesville, T-Mobile is better than AT&T, in Sarasota both are about the same and inside dorms in Nova (Davie) Verizon trumps all.

Wow, you hate T-Mobile a lot. See attached pic.
Be able to back-up your claims ;)

Quid Pro Quo
TMo= cheaper prices, coverage nationwide not as good, data speeds average, not sure about GPS
ATT= reasonable, better coverage nationwide, data speeds average, GPS varies
Verizon= not cheap, top coverage nationwide, data speeds broadband, No GPS
Sprint= reasonable, coverage closer to Verizon, data speeds broadband, GPS on all BBs
All have worldwide Blackberries.
Seriously depends on where you live, and what your priorities are. Rank your needs, and picked based on what is most important.

I picked the company formerly known as Cingular because of their coverage in the part of the world where I travel. It was the third carrier to be used in an office of 6 travelers, none of which go where I go. Others travel to where Verizon and T-Mob work well and they like what they have.
If the boss could have his way we would all revert to his brand which is Verizon. Yikes!!!
