Default Calendar Event Invite Question

Please Login to Remove!

If I want to use the invite attendee option from my address book is there any way to change the address the invite is sent from? Everytime I use it sends the request from my GMail account but I want to send it from my work account. I have the default email address to be my work one yet the calendar requests all from the GMail account and I can't seem to change it. If any of you know how can you please let me know? Thanks.

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830: BlackBerry8830/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

Go to your Service Books and delete all of the calendar modules (cical?), except for your work. That will solve your problem

That will work. However, the service books may come back though.

I wish there was a fix for this where you didn't have to delete the CICAL service books and you could change addresses easily. Maybe with the next BIS release?

what happens to the other email accounts if you delete the service books?

I'm new to the BB (three days now). I have BIS running and I'm picking up four email accounts (2 gmails, one work, one bb). I'd like to use my work email as the default for calendar appts, but can't seem to make that happen. Does deleting the cical stuff kill the other accounts?

Deleting the other cical service books will only remove the ability to send/receive calendar invites for those particular accounts. The service books will come back any time your device reregisters on the network, though, so you may have to do it every so often.

I deleted the cical entries in the service books. Sent a test appt. to my wife's gmail account. It sent correctly - hooray! However...

When she replied/accepted, she gets a copy of her own acceptance email, and the header section looks like gobbledy gook. Is BES the only way to fix all this stuff, or can we get it to work correctly using BIS?

Again; noob here, so plain english would be appreciated.

If she is able to accept/reply and it goes directly into her address book, I'd consider it a success.

When I send calendar invites from my BB to my wife, in Outlook (she has no data plan on her BB,) the calendar attachments don't even show up in Outlook. She can send them from her Outlook to me (I'm on a BES) and they work just fine.

Edit: Is your wife using a BB when she's getting these duplicates from her replies? She likely needs to follow this procedure:
