Since installing 4.2.2.175 I lost the ability to go to "MY ACCOUNT" or other "t-mobile" sites from the bookmark on the BB browser. Is this because it's not a recognized t-mobile OS?
"175" is (in my opinion) faster than "171" but I did like checking "MY ACCOUNT" on the BB.

Pulled the battery and it now works. I tried pulling the battery yesterday without success; I suppose today is tomorrow from yesterday in BB talk!

Would you guys recommed upgrading even if I am not having any issues? I have been running flawless since upgrading my router.. I like to be on the cutting edge but tend to lean on the notion, "if it isn't broke, don't fix it"
My BB8320 works great... but I do have some issues with UMA/GSM Handoffs and would also like the benefit of the "faster wifi" that everyone is claiming....but has anyone had any issues at with this install...any downside??

You can always downgrade any OS as long as you keep the setup file. I'm running .175 and feel it's slightly better and faster than .171. I rarely keep the OEM OS unless the one I'm changing to blows.
Check John's link above for detailed discussion on this upgrade. There appears to be general agreement that it delivers a speed improvement, and there are one or two functional improvements as well. Also note that some of your settings will be lost. All is explained:
Is it basically impossible to upgrade the OS if you only have access to a Mac? If not, what are the instances when that will be possible, such as when the carrier launches an upgrade to the OS are they usually over-the-air or downloadable directly to the device?

As a fulltime Linux user I fight this fight even more -- I have Windows installed in a dual boot (like Boot Camp mode, not Parallels mode) mainly to support my BlackBerry upgrading and other Windows-only firmware type things (like my laptop BIOS). One of those necessary evils in the world. :(

Thanks.
At this point there are no over-the-air or directly downloadable device handheld upgrades. Rumored in the future, but they've been rumored for a long time.
I did the upgrade...and I can't get my bluetooth to connect. When I go to pair the phone it sees the bluetooth device. But when I put the code in, it will not connect. I tried it with an unlocked 8300 on T-Mobile and it worked fine. (that device is running version 4.2.2.67) Anyone else having this issue? Any suggestions?

Have you tried with wifi off? The frequencies conflict with each other. What kind of bluetooth device?
Yes...WiFi is off. It's a UConnect system in an '08 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The phone recognizes the UConnect bluetooth device. It just won't connect when I put the correct 4 digit code in.
