Default Software to Edit Contacts Etc

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All

Is there any software or a programme that allows you to edit your contacts on your computer rather than on the phone.

I synched my Storm from Outlook and ended up with multiple entries as a result of a previous synch with a BB Pearl which had a really old OS and didn't accept multiple fields at the time. So it imported every entry as a seperate contact. I now have over 3000 contacts but in reality it should be about half that as there are seperate entries for the same person with their mobile, office, email, etc.

I have been trying to edit everythiing but as BB won't allow you to save a file with the same name it is very time consuming!

It is really annoying so any help would be appreciated.

Found ABC Amber which is a little clunky but way better than trying to edit on the phone!

If anyone else is looking for this

Free download ABC Amber BlackBerry Editor, edit contacts in IPD files

Wirelessly posted

Delete ALL of them from outlook and sync again.

I might be missing something but why not just edit out the duplicates in Outlook and resync?

Outlook is the software to edit your contacts.
You can use a full monitor and keyboard, and it is much faster.

If you use Outlook to sync your BB through BB Desktop manager, does it update bookmarks also?
