Default SpeakerPhone by Left CONVENIENCE BUTTON?

Please Login to Remove!

It is not available as an option to re-assign the Left convenience button to activate the SpeakerPhone feature.
Is there a fix/hack to accomplish this?

Not to sound like a smart azz but it's only a one-button-push on the keyboard to activate the speaker phone. You still need a shortcut for that?

Did you read his original post? The problem isn't the number of buttons he must push to get the speaker phone working, it's finding the correct button while he is driving...

sorry, my bad... there was another post with the same question (http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...ml#post1290159) and he stated the issue was finding the correct button while driving...

interesting that both questions were the only post by a user who just registered yesterday, and both have a 8320/8370(?) on T-Mo... could be the same guy or just an odd coincidence.

I'm still trying to find any info on that 8370.

Default I am the original poster

1) No I only posted the thread ONCE.

2) No "fonejunkie" not a problem because of driving (illegal in CA).

3) Sorry "BrotoBerry" but it takes TWO KEY PRESSES TO ACTIVATE SPEAKERPHONE. <ALT-$>. (On my BB anyway...)

Thanks guys for the tries...

Let's see if anyone else has the answer.

You shouldn't have to hit two keys. You should be able to press the speakerphone key once and it should activate.

Yeah, it just looks like it takes alt key to get it done like the number keys, but just the key itself works.

Default Original Poster final reply:

Sorry "monkeypaw and rachamphetamine" drugs notwithstanding, my BB requires BOTH <ALT> & <$> keys for SPEAKERPHONE activation.

To others... I guess I am not digitally dexterous as some.

Thanks to everyone for reading and commenting!

Enjoy your BB's guys, it's a hellofa tool isn't it?

I'd focus on getting the speakerphone button issue resolved then... It should work by itself (without the Alt key).
