Hi all, first post here so if im missing something just let me know...

I'v install a BES express 5.0.2 on a Win 2003 Standard SP2, iv also install the update 5.0.2 RM1 bundle 25. All goes fine but 2 services still wont start
BB Admin service Application server and BB MDS Connection service

And get these error in event viewer :
BAS-AS, ID:4098
BAS-AS, ID 4096 that says could not start JVM
no error on the BAS-NCC tho!!!

So iv been lurking around the net for this and found out lots of trick to get the JVM working.. registry pointing to wrong place etc.... Iv try all of those!!!
Even re-install BES, JAVA a couple times....
Java is clean and is the veriosn use in the RIM folder(JRE6 and JDK1.0.0_18) update has been disable...

So im here asking what the heck is wrong with my install???? Of course the 2 web console wont start.

Since its my first time playing around a BES i must be doing something wrong but cant find ou what?!?!

Any hint?

Exchange server is also win 2003 Standard SP2
BES express is Win 2003 SP2 with SQL express from directory of install RIM

Java been updated? Java been updated? Dont update it, it is not needed but check the following

KB14697-Could not load the Java Virtual Machine. Load Library the specified module could not be found

Java hasnt been updated, its still 1.6.0_18 from the install RIM directory; and the registry are pointing to the right place ..\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\client\jvm.dll

I dont know if this can help but when i stop ans restart the BAS-NCC service i got these entry in the event viewer
Error BAS-NCC ID 4100
Info BAS-NCC ID 5
Info BAS-NCC ID 4
And the service is running.. cant get the BAS-AS to run tho...

Oups thought this was part of your sig hehehehe, yeah just did and the BAS-AS service just started!!!! Thanks.. now only the MDS services wont start

what errors if any for MDS?

Gotn an entry in the system folder of the event viewer
Service control Manager, ID 7034
The MDS services stop suddenly(translation from french) for the XX time

Sorry for delay, do you know why it keeps doing that? Every minute it tried to start and stop with an entry in the event log.. now im up to 7200 times.....

Looking at the log did not show me anything.. only one line and it says something like "...Log is rolling..." not much else (in the MDSS-AC log file) BUT!!! your URL help me figure out the MDS error... My java was pointed ok but like the OPTION3 you made me change a number, i matche the same number in that line (-Xss64K -Xmx768M -Xms128M) and the MDS service start and stayed up!!!! thanks a lot....

But i found out that my server is poping another error when i log on to it(dont know if this related to anything else) I got this popup RIMDeviceManager.exe error windows... it cannot find the irprops.cpl ????
Any idea?

Windows error states that the irprops.cpl file is missing, copy the irprops.cpl file from the Windows installation files to the WINNT/System32 folder.
